Educational activity “Whirligig play”

Educational activity intended to try peculiarities of wood carving. Participants will be introduced with wood carving history, will learn to separate wood species. Educators will show wood work tools: various forms of chisels, engravers, pocketknives, rasps. Participants could appreciate subtleties of wood carving and they also could do simple carving work. During the practical time they will create an old toy – whirligig (humming-top).

Duration: 1‒1.5 hours
Classes take place with a group of at least 5 participants. We adapt the educational activity according to the age of the group of participants.

Prices per person in Šiauliai culture centre: 6 Eur (per adult), with discount 3 Eur
Prices per person in your place: 8 Eur (per adult), with discount 4 Eur (fuel price are not included)
Virtual educational activity: 8 Eur (per adult), with discount 4 Eur

The price includes all tools and work combustion.

50% discount: for pupils, students, pensioners who have submitted LR, EU or international ISIC certificate, European youth card, teachers with international ITIC certificate, preschool children, orphanage students, residents of a family home, disabled, socially disadvantaged groups.
