Vilmantas Dambrauskas – an artist known throughout Lithuania. After starting his creative path, the designer had the freedom to experiment and create what over time became not only modern visions of the future, but also cultural heritage. During his more than thirty years of career, the artist from Šiauliai has created an innumerable number of logos, posters, presented more than 40 design, painting, photography and poster exhibitions to the public, and his works have been exhibited in Lithuania, Europe and the United States of America.

"This year, I am presenting my anniversary exhibition to the residents of Šiauliai and city guests. I hope that the images seen on the posters will evoke not only the most beautiful sentiments, but will also remind us of how many events, holidays or other colorful events there were in Šiauliai, which created and cultivated the aesthetic taste and cultural awareness of each of us. I am glad that I could contribute to the face of the city's events with my work," says Vilmantas Dambrauskas, who works as a designer at the Šiauliai Cultural Center.

The exhibition "Posters of my city" will exhibit both the first works created since 1989, as well as the latest posters of the artist, reflecting today's current affairs. The creator's exceptional freedom in interpretation, courage in combining new images, fonts and colors left a clear mark not only in Šiauliai's advertising campaigns, but also became recognizable throughout Lithuania.

"For the past few years, the Šiauliai Cultural Center, while creating the image of the city's holidays, has been spreading the idea that every person has the power to create a more modern world, Lithuania, Šiauliai city. The designer of more than one city festival - Vilmantas Dambrauskas - looks at Šiauliai through the prism of his creator as an expert on the city's identity. I am glad that the cooperation between the Šiauliai Cultural Center and the designer is becoming a reflection of the city's strategy in creating the image of the holidays," says Deimantė Bačiulė, director of the Šiauliai Cultural Center.
