In 2023 on November 4, 11, 18, 24-25, the traditional XIV republican amateur theater festival "Pulsas" will be held at the Šiauliai Cultural Center (Aušra av. 31). This year, the festival is moving to the Šiauliai Cultural Center, where the audience will be able to enjoy both well-known and already classic performances, as well as new premieres specially created for the "Pulsas" theater festival, for up to five days. This year, the festival will present 8 performances of different genres, adapted to audiences of various ages, so everyone will choose their favorite: both adults and children.
The organizer is the Šiauliai Cultural Center. Events are free.

The "Pulsas" amateur theater festival, organized since 2009, has grown into a national festival over time. The event, traditionally held in November, invites the best amateur theaters of the country to Šiauliai. "The fourteenth amateur art festival is temporarily taking shelter in the main premises of the Šiauliai Cultural Center, but we will celebrate the anniversary, the fifteenth year, in the renovated Rėkyva House of Culture. We are glad that every year we can offer the audience better and better performances, which shows how amateur art is growing and strengthening in Lithuania. Also this year, two theater groups from the Šiauliai Cultural Center will join the group of theaters coming to Šiauliai, which will present two rather intriguing premieres to the audience," says the director of the Šiauliai Cultural Center, Deimantė Bačiulė.

The fourteenth republican amateur theater festival "Pulsas" will delight fans of plays this year for four weekends in November. Therefore, the audience who came to the Šiauliai Cultural Center will be waiting for real comedy-filled, unacted real-life stories that will unfold in a novel, a historical narrative, and a mixture of various genres in dominating comedies. The little fans of the theater will not be forgotten, they will be treated to two cheerful performances this year, which will not only develop children's imagination, but also take them to undiscovered layers filled with fantasy.

The first three performances of the XIV Republican Amateur Theater Festival will be shown on November 4 and 11. Already this Saturday at 3 p.m. citizens will be able to see the performance of the "Žiburys" theater of the Joniškis Cultural Center based on V. Bladykaitė's play "Rent and Three Eggs" (directed by Violeta Tuomaitė). The comedy depicts two women who are determined to overcome financial difficulties and try to solve them in one way or another. The story surprises the viewer with its unpredictable twists and turns, which will reward the audience with a dose of laughter.

On November 11, the Šiauliai Cultural Center will show two performances of the "Pulsas" festival. At 3 p.m. Jurbarkas Cultural Center Skirsnemunė branch theater "Pakeleivis" will present B. Dauguvietis comedy "Žaldokynė" (directed by Birutė Šneiderienė) to the audience. The well-known comedy will take the viewer to the homestead of the brewer Žaldokas, where it will be possible to see both the future wedding ceremony and the slaughtering of the breeding ram. In the play, which has already become a classic, there will be naive and absurd situations that will make the audience laugh in one way or another. 4 p.m. The amateur theater "(Ne)taktiški" of the Kelmė cultural center will invite residents of Šiauliai and guests of the city to the story-telling performance "Alio, be and not to be myths?" (directed by Rasa Šiaučiūnaitė). The audience is presented with an interactive performance imbued with nostalgia, adventure, laughter and memories. In one play, there are many stories that touch the audience in a unique way, which, hopefully, will remind the audience not only of the environment they know well, but also of familiar people who inspire or surprise them.

The XIV amateur theater festival "Pulsas" will not stop delighting the people of Šiauliai in the second half of November. 18th 1 p.m. In the Šiauliai Cultural Center, the children's musical performance "The Pig at Home" will be performed at the Fisherman's Palace Youth Theater of the Klaipėda City Municipality Cultural Center, at 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Šiauliai Culture Center's theater studio "Gūžta" will present its premiere monoplay based on the comedy "I'm waiting for you, my lover" by Dario Fo and F. Rame.

Tomas's play "8 loving women", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the collective's creative activity.
