The festival-competition "Aušrinė žvaigdė" involved the residents of Šiauliai and city guests in a dance marathon

In 2024 May 16 The concert "Dance connects us" of the 17th international dance festival-competition "Morning Star" was held at the amphitheater of Šiauliai Boulevard. The guests of the festival-competition and the dance groups of the city of Šiauliai surprised the audience with their performances. The organizers remind that the first dance performances already took place in Alsėdžiai (Plungės district), where different nations gathered and spread the magic of dance. The festival, which started at the beginning of the week, will delight dance lovers until May 19.

The traditional festival-competition "Aušrinė žvaigždė" organized by the choreography studio "Aušrelė" of the Šiauliai Cultural Center (artistic directors M. Kosaitis and V. Adomėnaitė-Butnorienė) surprises with a rich program every year. The participants who came to the international dance festival-competition have been intensively preparing for their entertaining and competitive performances since the first days in the city of Saulės. The first concerts have already taken place in Alsėdžiai (Plungė district), where performances were given by the dancers of Alsėdžiai Stanislaus Narutavičius Gymnasium, Šiauliai Cultural Center's choreography studio "Aušrelė" and groups from Ukraine: children's folk dance ensemble "Barvinok", exemplary choreographic group "Zadorinka".

May 16 Another part of the festival-competition took place at the Šiauliai Boulevard amphitheater - the concert "Dance connects us". At the concert, artistic performances were given by the guests of the event and the dance groups of Šiauliai city. The young dancers did not leave anyone indifferent - a large group of spectators applauded their charming performances.

The morning of May 17 will begin with the first competition part - a folk dance - at the Šiauliai Cultural Center. In the afternoon, the action will move to P. Višinskis Square, where children's day dances will be held together with the heroes of fairy tales and the children of "Laura's studio". There, in the evening, the opening concert of the event will be held, during which the winners of the first part of the competition will be awarded. at 7 p.m. the organizers will encourage you not to disperse, but to have fun and end the evening cheerfully with folk dances "Shoka visi" with the children's and youth folklore ensemble of the Šiauliai School of Music "Vieversėlis" (conductor A. Stankus).
