In Šiauliai, the 6th of July is meaningful with sensual songs

The day of the state (the coronation of King Mindaugas of Lithuania) and the National Anthem in Šiauliai began on St. Mass at St. in the Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul. After them, in the heart of the city, in the Resurrection Square, a solemn ceremony of raising the flag of the state of Lithuania was waiting. This year, to the sound of the "National Anthem", the official symbol of the state - the tricolor - was entrusted to the national heritage nurturer, folk artist, and gardener Brone Griciene from Šiauliai.

The official part of the celebration in Resurrection Square continued with the listening of inspiring musical pieces about Lithuania, which were presented to the people of Šiauliai and the guests of the city by the performer Ingrida Ručinskienė.

Later, it was possible to celebrate Lithuania at the Šiauliai Boulevard amphitheater. A festive concert of melodists Oleg Ditkovskis and Saulius Bareikis awaited fans of sung poetry here. The duo expressed their love for Lithuania with sentimental ballads, playful and witty songs, so the listeners had to go on a musical journey to the most beautiful moments related to their homeland.

On July 6, residents of Šiauliai and guests of the city can see exhibitions and expositions for free in the branches of the Šiauliai "Aušros" museum, the Šiauliai city cultural center "Laiptų galerija" and the Šiauliai art gallery. In the evening, in the park of Chaim Frenkel's villa, the residents of the city of Saulės will not only open the summer festival with a festive concert, but also together at 9 p.m. together with the people of Šiauliai and all the Lithuanians of the world will express their love for Lithuania with a beautiful global initiative - the singing of the "National Anthem".
