The second day of the festival "And the lake has ears" gathered art lovers at the Talkša lake

In 2024 On July 19, the second day of the speech and music festival "And the lake has ears" took place on the shores of Lake Talkša. The festival was characterized not only by nature, the magic of the floating lake and the summer evening sun, but also by a special program. The second day of the festival brought together different art forms and created an unforgettable atmosphere where fans of poetry, music and theater could enjoy quality performances and explore important and sensitive topics with the performers.
The organizer is the Šiauliai Cultural Center. Financed by: Lithuanian Culture Council and Šiauliai City Municipality. Friends - Hotel-Restaurant "Žvejų užeiga" and "Šiauliai Deaf Center". Image of Eglė Narbutaitė. Events are free.

At the beginning of Friday evening, the audience at the Talkša lake immersed themselves in the sensual one-man play "Aries" by actor and playwright Raimonds Klezis. The performance invited us to explore with the actor sensitive topics that connect each of us childhood, adolescence and adult life. During the performance, topics that are usually not dared to be discussed among peers were analyzed, and deep and emotional human experiences were revealed.

The evening ended with the "Green Concert" of music artist and creator Remi Rantis. The concert featured music not only about the world, people, relationships, beauty - nature is also important here. During the concert, important questions of ecology and sustainability were raised, and answers were sought as to how we can create a more harmonious relationship between human needs and nature. Remi Rantis' works invited us to think about our place in the world and responsible behavior towards the environment, but at the same time the concert was cheerful and optimistic.

On the last day of the festival, July 20, the organizers invite you to the shore of the Prudel pond, which at 7:30 p.m. will start with the concert of the Kopanugaris group. 9 p.m. The festival "And the lake has ears" will be crowned by the solo post-electro-flamenco music and dance performance "Human, Lost & Found" by the French artist Phil Von.

The organizers thank the translators of the Šiauliai Regional Department of Lithuanian Sign Language Assessment for giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the festival.

Also, all days of the festival from 7:30 p.m. the poetry exhibition "Mintys bangose" is open. In the open-air exhibition, the works of young authors are exhibited, among which you will also see the lines of the Šiauliai Deaf Center community. Each poem is like a separate world, full of feelings, thoughts and experiences.
