For more than three decades, there has been a tradition of celebrating the International Day of Older Persons on October 1 around the world. This day is like a gift to our elderly citizens. We want them to feel surrounded by attention, not to be alone, to communicate and have the opportunity to enjoy themselves on October 1. World Music Day is also celebrated on October 1. in 1975 The legalized holiday reminds us how different musical tastes have been around the world for centuries, and the variety of sounds has expanded. This day is a tribute to music, because it allows us to remember that no matter how different we are, we can all be united by a pleasant sound.

International Elderly People and World Music Day in Šiauliai will be very intense this year. On the morning of October 1, starting at 9 a.m., the Šiauliai Technology Training Center will engage seniors in various activities, which will offer free haircuts, hand massages, pastry decoration, consultations on current topics and other initiatives in different departments.

at the Šiauliai Cultural Center at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. will feel like autumn, because seniors will be invited to create a candle of their favorite scent, decorated with various decorations. In the creative-educational activity "Light of the range. Dargis) will be presented by Šiauliai Cultural Center's Amateur Theater "Durys". It is hoped that the unpredictable plot twists of the modern detective comedy will involve the audience not only in the search for the killer, but will allow them to end the day in a theater filled with exclusively French humor.

The celebration will not be limited to October 1. The organizers of the event are happy that on Sunday, October 6, from 5 p.m. seniors will be able to get moving and have fun at the Šiauliai Cultural Center, where there will be a dance evening. The traditional event on the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly will be free, but please note that admission to the event is by invitation. Admission to the above listed performances, concert, dance evening is by invitation only.
