In November, Šiauliai will pulsate with the rhythm of the theater

iIn 2024 on November 8-9, 15-16, 22-24, Šiauliai will become a true Mecca of culture and theater - the XV Lithuanian amateur theater festival "Pulsas" will be held here. This annual event, which has become an important and expected event in the cultural calendar of the city of Šiauliai, promises even more exciting emotions and theatrical magic this year. During three weekends, the audience of the anniversary festival will have a unique opportunity to see as many as 9 performances of different genres, suitable for both children and youth, as well as adults.
The organizer is the Šiauliai Cultural Center. Events are free.


Organized since 2009, the festival grows every year, attracting more and more spectators of different ages to the performances. For a long time, the festival took place in the Rękyva House of Culture, but for the second year in a row, it is pulsating in the main premises of the Šiauliai Cultural Center. "Festival "Pulsas" has already become an integral part of the cultural life of Šiauliai, and its value and beauty lies not only in the pursuit of professionalism, but also in the sincere relations between the actors and the audience. We are happy that we can give the audience the opportunity to discover new, interesting and high-quality performances created by talented Lithuanian amateur theater enthusiasts every year", says the director of the Šiauliai Cultural Center, Deimantė Bačiulė.

The fifteenth Lithuanian amateur theater festival "Pulsas", which will take place over three weekends in November, promises a string of emotions this year. From laughter to tears, from excitement to admiration, everyone will find something close to their heart at this festival. A mix of fairy tales, dramas, comedies and other genres will guarantee that there will never be a dull moment.

The Lithuanian amateur art festival "Pulsas" will invite you to the first performances on November 8-9. November 8 Children's and youth theater "Saula" of the Plungė cultural center will present the children's performance "Gudruolis katinas" (directed by Sigita and Romas Matuliai), created according to Š. Pero's tale "Puss in Boots". The organizers are happy with the activity of the small audience and the popularity of the fairy tale genre, because there are no more invitations to this performance.

Saturday, November 9, 5 p.m. The Žemaitė Drama Theater of the municipality of Telšiai district will speak Žemaitė - it will invite you to the comedy "Vēina kėima pabludēmā" (directed by Donatas Žilinskas) based on the play "Devil's Trap" by Žemaitė and G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė. The play, which takes place in a traditional village courtyard, will fascinate with unexpected twists, which will be determined by the superstitions and hidden passions of the characters. Detective elements woven into the fabric of everyday life will add intrigue and tension to the play.

All performances of the 15th amateur theater festival "Pulsas" are free. Free tickets are distributed by Ticket Market.
