The festival "Pulsas" united the people of Šiauliai for fellowship

In 2024 In November, Šiauliai Culture Center was pulsating with culture, as the XV Lithuanian Amateur Theater Festival "Pulsas" was held here. The performances shown on the three weekends of the last autumn month were adapted not only to the various tastes of Šiauliai residents and city guests, but also to different age groups - children, youth and adults. The organizers of the event are happy that this year's festival attracted a lot of attention from the townspeople and became a cultural refreshment for the soul, which brightened up the gloomy autumn weekends.
The organizer is the Šiauliai Cultural Center.

The 15th Lithuanian Amateur Theater Festival "Pulsas", which took place in Šiauliai Cultural Center for a whole month, started on November 8, but the last weekend was the most generous with performances. Since Friday, the audience could see as many as five free performances.

On November 22, Šiauliai Arts School's children's and youth theater studio "Kompanija šauni" presented to the audience a play with elements of horror "4 doors" (directed by Dale and Virginijus Dargiai), which is based on four Japanese fairy tales. The evening ended with the performance of "Pilnatis" theater of Alksnupi amateurs "Evening in the wallet" (directed by Laima Didžbalienė), in which two pretenders wove snares of deception in the village.

On Saturday, the marathon of free performances continued with the Priekulė Art and Culture Center's Ernst Vichert Amateur Theater performance "Urtė" (directed by Donatas Savickis) based on Ieva Simonaitytė's novel "Aukštujui Simoni likimas", which became a gift to lovers of theater and the writer's work. On the evening of November 23, the stage of the Šiauliai Culture Center was decorated and the audience was drawn into the drama by the performance "Cenotaph" (directed by Danutė Budrytė-Samienė) of the Konstantin Glinskis Theater of the Jurbarkas Cultural Center.

The 15th Lithuanian Amateur Theater Festival "Pulsas" was crowned by the Rokiškis Cultural Center theater performance "I discovered Šepka" (directed by Neringa Danienė) based on the biography of Šepka Liongins. The biographical drama, filled with personal life twists and stories, allowed us to get to know Liongin Šepkas, one of the most famous Lithuanian idolaters, better.

During the entire festival, 9 performances were shown, which were presented to the audience by guests from various Lithuanian cities. The organizers of the event are happy with the involvement of amateur theaters and their desire to participate in the festival in Šiauliai, and thank the audience, which rewarded the actors with their attention and abundant applause.
