Invitation to participate in the initiative "Farewell to the Terribly Beautiful Morė"

Šiauliai Cultural Center invites city institutions, companies, organizations, and communities to actively join the Mardi Gras initiative “Fellowship of the Terribly Beautiful Morė” and participate in the exhibition “Fellowship of the Terribly Beautiful Morė” and the funeral procession. The exhibition will be open on Kaštonų Avenue from February 25 until the funeral on March 4.

Šiauliai residents and city guests will be able to vote with “likes” for the most impressive Morė on the Šiauliai Cultural Center “Facebook” account. Voting will take place from February 25 to March 4 at 8 a.m. The three creators of Morė who have collected the most “likes” will be awarded prizes.

Requirements for “Fellowship of the Terribly Beautiful Morė”:

The Morė must be made of flammable materials and resistant to outdoor conditions so as not to lose its original appearance;
easily transported – during the procession, the Morė will have to be carried by its creators;
The height of the Morė is from 1.5 m to 2 m. A pole must be attached;
The weight of the Morė is up to 10 kg.
Those wishing to participate in the exhibition “Awfully Beautiful Morė” and the funeral procession must register by February 19 by e-mail to jurate.kasinskiene@siauliukc.lt. When registering, please indicate the institution, company, organization, etc., the name, surname, phone number, and e-mail address of the responsible person. Detailed information will be sent to those who have registered on February 20, 2025.
