Winners of the "Awfully Beautiful Morė" contest selected after fierce voting

2025. February 25 - March 4. The "Terribly Beautiful Moria" exhibition and competition was held in Kaštonai Alley, which attracted great interest. Not only schools, kindergartens and libraries actively participated, but also other institutions that joined this tradition. Among the almost 30 participants, there were both new faces and long-time Mardi Gras enthusiasts. The participants created exceptional Morias, and the organizers awarded the three who received the most emojis on the social network "Facebook" and one like from the organizers. The organizers remind that on March 4. at 5:30 p.m. the Morias participating in the exhibition and competition will be bid farewell by a Morias funeral procession, after which a festive concert will be held in P. Višinskis Square.
Organizer - Šiauliai Cultural Center. The event is free.

Throughout the week, Šiauliai residents were invited to vote for their favorite Morė by clicking “like” and other emojis on the Šiauliai Cultural Centre’s social network Facebook account. This year, users of the social network Facebook were extremely active – a record number of reactions were collected. Three Morės stood out the most: the first place went to Šiauliai nursery school “Eglutė”, which collected 1.9 thousand emojis. The second place was taken by the International Ukrainian School – 1.8 thousand emojis, and the third place went to the nursery school “Pupų pėdas”, whose Morė collected 873 reactions. The organizers, admiring the originality of the Morės, also selected their favorite – the Morė of Šiauliai nursery school “Bitė”. The winners were awarded prizes established by UAB “Rūta”, “Akropolios ledas”, “Drift Karting” and the Šiauliai Cultural Centre. All exhibition participants were awarded sweet gifts from the “Prezo” bakery.

The organizers remind you that on March 4, at 1:30 a.m., the “Farewell of the Terribly Beautiful Morias” will take place.
